FAQ
Which sizes go into the ICO file?
Square images at 16, 32, 48, 64, 128 and 256 px in one file. Sizes larger than the original are left out, so start from 256 px or more.
What about a logo that is not square?
It is fitted to the longer side and centred, with the rest left transparent. Nothing is cut off.
How do I add it to my site?
Upload favicon.ico to the top folder of your site and most browsers find it on their own, or add <link rel="icon" href="/favicon.ico"> to your pages.
