PDF dark mode

Turn a white-background PDF into a dark one that is easy on the eyes at night. Text, shapes and charts are recolored for readability while photos stay as they are. Files never leave your browser.

Choosing a new file replaces the current PDF. Your originals stay unchanged.

Add PDFs to see page previews here.

Groups text, backgrounds, shapes and lines by original color and background context. Images are classified and adjusted automatically; choose a different mode or restore the original if needed. Partial highlights change only the relevant glyph paint while retaining text and positions. Complex patterns, gradients, color spaces, inline images and stencil masks may stay unchanged. OCR is not supported. Forms, signatures and encrypted PDFs are not supported.

How it works

  1. Choose a PDF. Pages turn dark right away, starting from the first ones.
  2. Page through the viewer to check. If needed, pick a background or change element colors in edit mode.
  3. Click Download PDF. Text, vectors and images are preserved.
